AFC Rushden & Diamonds continue the seemingly infinite number of games against local rivals Wellingborough Whitworths, this time at Under 18 level in the Northants Senior Youth League on Tuesday evening (2/10/12).
It will be the first time any Diamonds team has played competitively at Whitworths London Road ground since the Under 18’s played a pre season friendly before the start of the 2011-12 season (match report here)
Whitworths currently sit bottom of the Western division having been defeated on three occasions, with a single victory against Cogenhoe Utd.
The Diamonds will be looking to build on their impressive 5-0 defeat of Irchester Utd as close rivals Oxford City slipped to a 4-1 defeat at Olney Town.
