Pre-Season Fixture Updates

Following yesterday’s announcement regarding the return of supporters to matches, we are pleased to be able to confirm details for the following pre-season friendly fixtures:

Saturday, August 22nd v Kempston Rovers (Away) 3pm kick off

Supporters are permitted to attend this fixture under current guidelines although capacity at Hillgrounds is limited to 200. Supporters will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis and once capacity has been reached, the turnstiles will be closed and no further admissions permitted. Please follow the instructions and advice given by the Kempston Rovers stewards and officials.

Ticket prices will be announced by Kempston Rovers in due course and will be published on our website.

Tuesday, August 25th v Kings Lynn Town FC (home) 7:45pm kick off

Friday, August 28th v Bedford Town FC (Home) 7:45pm kick off

Both fixtures are all pay; season tickets and seat season tickets are not valid.

Tickets are priced as follows:

£9 Adults

£6 Concessions

£2 U18s

Capacity at Hayden Road is restricted to 300 supporters at each fixture and, therefore, tickets must be purchased in advance. This will enable us to reduce the amount of cash being handled at each match and we will also be able to identify everyone attending the fixture for the purpose of track and trace.

All supporters, staff, volunteers and players will be required to undergo a temperature check before gaining access to the ground. Supporters are reminded that entry to the ground constitutes acceptance of our Ground Regulations and acceptable behaviour policy, both of which can be found here – https://www.afcdiamonds.com/afc-rushden-diamonds-acceptable-behaviour-statement

Tickets will be available to members and season ticket holders first and any remaining tickets will then be put on general sale. Members and season ticket holders will receive an email detailing how to purchase their tickets and the general sale will be announced on the website.

Seats are available at both matches for supporters at no extra cost and priority will be given to the elderly and those supporters who have a disability. However, due to social distancing requirements, the number of seats available is restricted and supporters should, therefore, speak to a steward if a seat is required.

Currently, The Burger Monster, Dale’s Bar and the club shop will not be open for these fixtures. The Clubhouse will also not be open but the outside toilets will be available for supporters’ use.

In order to comply with the current guidelines, there will be some changes at the ground which include areas that will be designated ‘no standing’ zones; some of these areas may be areas that you have been used to standing in. Please follow the instructions of our stewarding team and take note of the additional signage around the ground.

Following each match, the Board will take undertake a review process in order to improve the experience for everyone. It is really important to us that we all work together, so we would welcome feedback from supporters, positive or negative, along with your suggestions for improvements and you can do this speaking to any one of us at the match or by emailing support@afcdiamonds.com. However, in order to comply with the restrictions put upon us in order to comply with the Covid-19 guidance we would ask for your understanding and patience where we are unable to put all your suggestions in place.

Thank you all for your continued support and co-operation and we look forward to seeing you next week.
