Open trials are being held in January for AFC Rushden & Diamonds Academy Under 21s for pro-active players aged 16 to 21 who are seeking to challenge themselves for the remainder of the 2021/22 season and the new 2022/23 season.
Competitive matches take place Saturday mornings in the Midland Football League (MFL) and are mixed together with friendly fixtures against professional and semi-professional opponents to challenge players.
With a defined pathway into AFC Rushden & Diamonds first team in terms of both training and matches, AFC Rushden & Diamonds Academy aims to attract, develop, support and progress players on a path to semi-professional or professional football.
This exciting programme, playing competitive games in the Midland Football League includes:
- UEFA B licensed coaches
- Training twice a week.
- Video Analysis of games
- Goalkeeper Coaching – UEFA B qualified
- Physio & Sports Therapists
- Regular Performance Reviews
